Introducing the KetoMindHealth Programme…
Our highly tailored, 16 week programme that empowers you to take your brain health and mental wellbeing into your own hands.
You may have been told that your mental health issues are due to genetics or a chemical imbalance in the brain that requires lifelong medication. However, this is not always true. The ketogenic diet is a researched treatment plan that many have found to be extremely helpful. Additionally, long-term use of psychiatric medications can lead to negative metabolic effects without significant improvements in mental health, and some people may not tolerate these medications at all. If this sounds like you, keep reading!
What’s included in the KetoMindHealth programme:
✔️ 1 initial consultation and 7 follow-ups, equating to approximately 10 hours of specialist nutritionist support
✔️10 coaching sessions with a specialist ketogenic and mental health coach
✔️ Tailored ketogenic protocols, meal plans and supplement programmes
✔️ Medication monitoring and tapering support with specialist psychiatrist
✔️ Ketone and glucose monitoring support
The unique combination of personalised ketogenic nutrition protocols and coaching offers several significant benefits:
✔️Personalisation:
Whilst the ketogenic diet is very structured, individual factors such as life stages, metabolic health, medications and activity levels for each individual are essential to factor in to get the best results.
✔️ Accountability:
Having a nutritionist checking in with you keeps you motivated and helps you stay on track, especially during tough days.
✔️ Real-time problem solving:
Personalised coaching means if you hit a plateau, experience uncomfortable symptoms, or have unique challenges, you can get expert advice quickly.
✔️ Motivation and emotional support:
Frequent check ins can help you not just with food choices, but also with habit-building, and handling emotional eating.
✔️ Better long-term results:
When you’re supported by an expert collaborative team that has decades of experience in mental health, you're a lot more likely to actually change your habits permanently — not just follow a diet for a few weeks.
Join us today and take the first step toward lasting energy, vibrant health, and mental clarity.
FAQs
-
The KetoMindHealth programme includes personalised consultations with a nutritionist, weekly check ins with a specialist coach, tailored meal plans, progress tracking tools, and ongoing support to help you succeed. It also includes the support of specialist psychiatrist, if needed.
-
The course is 16 weeks long. The first 2 weeks are for onboarding and creating a personalised plan after your initial consultation. For the first 6 weeks, you'll have weekly check-ins, then every 2 weeks until the program ends.
-
Before starting, you'll complete a detailed intake form covering your health history, goals, preferences and current diet. Your nutritionist uses this to create a plan just for you — and tweaks it as you progress. The health coach will check in with you weekly to help you stay accountable, monitor your progress and troubleshoot any challenges along the way.
-
The first meeting lasts about 1 hour with the nutritionist and 1 hour with the coach. Follow-up meetings take 30-45 minutes. For the first 6 weeks, you will check in weekly with both the nutritionist and the health coach; afterward, sessions will be every other week.

Most medications, including psychiatric ones, can be taken whilst on the diet, though dosage adjustments may be necessary, especially after the adaptation phase (at 12 weeks normally). If you are on a psychiatric medication and you suffer with a severe mental illness, we do require that you complete a psychiatric assessment before embarking on the ketogenic diet to establish whether it is right for you and to identify any potential risk factors to keep you safe.
It’s important to note that there are absolute contraindications to be aware of when it comes to certain medications, namely those that in combination with the ketogenic diet can cause hypoglycemia, such as SGLT2 inhibitors.
-
No. The fees for psychiatrist on our team are not included. This is because not everyone will need medication monitoring.
-
Any recommendations or advice on medication usage needs to be provided by your prescribing physician or our psychiatrist. However, it’s worth mentioning that many who follow the ketogenic diet find that they are able to reduce or even eliminate their use of psychiatric medications, and for those who continue medications, the well-established metabolic benefits afforded by the ketogenic diet (including reduction in blood glucose and triglycerides as well as improved appetite control and fat loss) greatly help to offset the metabolic side effects of those medications.
-
Yes, there are certain conditions which can be contraindicated with following the ketogenic diet. Namely, conditions such as the following:
Pancreatitis (especially chronic)
Liver failure or severe hepatic insufficiency
Kidney disease, especially in advanced stages
History of eating disorders
Pregnancy and breastfeeding (especially without professional guidance)
Use of certain medications (e.g., SGLT2 inhibitors like canagliflozin due to DKA risk)
-
Many have been misled into believing that the consumption of fat will increase your risk of heart disease. Whilst it’s true that eating a low carbohydrate, high fat and high protein diet can increase your levels of LDL cholesterol, research shows that the LDL that increases is the large particle LDL, which has no link to heart disease.
It must also be said that the ketogenic diet leads to increases in HDL, reduction in inflammation markers and blood pressure, and dramatic reductions in triglycerides. All of these biomarkers and biometrics are much stronger predictors of cardiovascular disease than LDL-C. We can conclude from this that the ketogenic diet is in fact heart-healthy.
-
Our focus is on real, whole foods. That being said, during the keto adaptation phase you will likely need electrolytes and magnesium supplements (first 2 weeks). After this any supplement recommendations are additional and not absolutely necessary.
-
No. These are extra items, but they must be purchased to help monitor your progress and learn about your body’s metabolic needs. We work with KetoMojo to provide participants with discounts and we also use their patient tracking platform where we can keep a close eye on your daily glucose and ketone levels. This device is among the most trusted in the industry. The device currently costs £105.60, which includes 60 glucose and ketone test strips. We envisage that testing will be essential throughout the entire 16 week programme. However, once you become attuned to your body and fully adapted to the ketogenic diet, you may find that you no longer need testing and intuitively know that you’re in ketosis.
-
You will need to take a blood test prior to embarking on the ketogenic diet. This includes markers related to your metabolic health, as well as general health markers that are necessary to get a baseline reading of before changing your diet. This test costs £315.
-
Results vary, but many participants report weight loss, better mental clarity, improved mood, reduced cravings, better sleep, and more stable energy within the first few weeks. Most people see improvement in symptoms within 6 weeks of following the ketogenic diet or less.
